Being the principal of Schoenly School is an awesome job.  However, I must confess that it is also an awesome responsibility.  I am fully aware of how difficult it is for parents of young children to entrust them to the school’s care each day of their young lives.  I spend a great deal of each day working with staff to ensure that we are doing everything in our power to meet not only the needs of our children but also the needs of our parents.

I believe strongly in establishing and maintaining effective lines of communication between school and home.  A child’s chances of success are greatly increased if school and home work together and function on the “same page.”  Therefore, from time to time I may be asking for your help in a variety of areas ranging from behavioral concerns to overseeing your child’s completing homework assignments.

As the year goes on, you will notice that I close most of the letters that are sent home with the following statement:  “If you have questions or concerns, don’t hesitate to contact me.”  I sincerely mean this as I know how important it is to have the opportunity for a parent to discuss or share concerns with the principal.  When you have a concern, please call me at (732) 723-2221.  While I may not always provide you with the answer you hope to hear, I will always give you an honest reply.
